"He Giveth His Beloved Sleep"
Benwick War Memorial stands on the corner of Lilyholt Road and The High Street. It commemorates the soldiers who lost their lives in the Great War (1914-1918) and World War II (1939-1945). It was unveiled on the 10th June 1921, sculpted by P Whitehead; the architect was W Sadler.
In 2006 the memorial was refurbished, the names re-painted.
