Born on 5th April 1968, Anita spent
her childhood in Hertfordshire where she acquired 'O' level and 'A' level in
art, before moving to the Fens in 1991.
In 2003 she began her "artistic journey". Self taught, she currently works
in a variety of media including watercolours, soft pastels, acrylics and
coloured pencils. Her inspiration is drawn from a passion of light and
vision; seeing the "hidden treasures" in everyday life and each subjects
beauty, seeking to capture character and emotion in her work.
Anita's work is held in private collections worldwide and
she has carried out commissions on a variety of subjects, particularly
portraiture.
Here you can see a few of her sketchbook entries of Benwick created in
situ. She constantly travels around the Fens with her sketchbook in
tow, entries of other locations can be seen at the links below.

March
In March, Anita rang me and told me that she had recently sold one of her Benwick paintings; and was giving me £5 from it. This money will be the prize money for the Twenty Questions competition.
She also gave me one of her TAB's (tiny art books) which contains four little watercolours of Benwick, as can be seen at the bottom of this page. This TAB will be used in some way to raise some money for the village - whenever I can think of some suitable way to use it!
A massive thank you to Anita!!
May
May sees the beginning of Anita's brilliant little project "Closer to Home" where she will be doing pictures of Doddington, Wimblington and of course - Benwick. She decided to start of with my house, and that can be seen below. Her aim is to host an art exhibition later in the year, and also to produce a small book with the pictures in. You can read more about it here.
Next she did a brilliant picture of the home of Bill Burton.
