

The winners of The Benwick Photography Competition were announced at The Village Hall Tombola on 14th December. The competition has raised £46.00 for the Village Hall. A huge thank you to the competition sponsors, for their donations to make the competition viable. And another huge thank you to all of those who entered.
The winner of the adult category was Albert Sismey, with his picture of the river after it had been snowing, for this he won a brand new Fugi A820 Digital Camera which was sponsored by March Stationery & Print. The winner of the children's category was Laura Pottinger with her photo of The High Street, she won a Praktical Digital Camera, sponsored, along with the other prizes by Whitehall Plastics.

The Lilyholt Road Treasure Hunt was organised to raise more money for the Village Hall, I managed to raise a further £238.00 through selling squares on a grid, the competition was kindly sponsored by Greenvale. There were three top prizes:

DVD Player - won by J Coe
Set of 5 Mobile House Phones - won by Lisa Beevor
There was a one in 6 chance of winning a prize and loads of people were lucky.
