The Benwick Residents Association formed in the late part of 2007 after Roddons took over the council houses from Fenland, the AGM was held on Thursday January 10th and they meet on the second Thursday of the month.

The Association has been formed in order that there is a group which will promote and improve resident involvement and enable participation to all members of the community which will include social activities whilst hopefully improving housing conditions for tenants of Roddons, they also hope to improve amenities and the environment for all Benwick residents.

The BRA's have already held a few fundraisers, namely the Welcome to Roddons Supper; and the Children's Christmas Party. They also held a Jumble sale and Tombola; the latter of which will be a regular thing, every two months. They are also planning other events and fundraisers, which you will all hear about near the time. One such planned event is the Halloween Disco on Halloween Night!

The BRA's are collecting old mobile phones, for every one they receive they get £3 and after 100 get £100 of high street vouchers! So if you have any phone in any condition contact one of the committee!

The residents Association have also started a luncheon club, one Tuesday a month in the Five Alls. The food is reasonably priced and the bar is open for drinks.
